Our staff

Animals have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my mom was involved in rescue and we always had foster animals in addition to our own pets. My aunt is an equine veterinarian, and I aspired to be just like her one day. As I got older, I realized I was not destined to be a horse person, but I found that working with dogs and cats was my true passion. I attended NC State University for both my undergraduate degree in Zoology as well as my veterinary education. In my free time, I play flyball with my three dogs, Dizzi, Salsa and Hazelnut. I also share my life with two perfect kitties, Rolly and Petunia. I am so excited to join the Southwoods Animal Hospital family and build relationships with pets and their pet parents!
